OPERATION

USE
HOW TO USE IT?
When activated and placed on the roof or the highest point of the vehicle, it emits an immediate visual signal that warns other drivers of an obstacle on the road, without the need to leave the vehicle.
SMART CONNECTIVITY
The KRV16IOT includes NB-IoT technology which, when activated, automatically transmits its location anonymously to the DGT.
This information is used to alert connected vehicles and traffic panels in real time, improving accident prevention and enhancing road safety.
FIRST USE AND DEVICE TESTING
The KRV16IOT is manufactured under strict quality controls and individually tested. It requires no maintenance other than external cleaning and battery replacement when necessary.
You can check its operation by activating it for 60 seconds; if the light loses intensity before 30 seconds, it is time to replace the batteries. Perform this test without looking directly at the light beam.
Warning: Do not leave it on for more than 100 seconds, as its location will be automatically sent to the national traffic network.
STORAGE
Keep the device protected from direct sunlight and humidity.
Keep it accessible to the driver but out of the reach of children. Avoid placing objects on top of it to prevent accidental activation.
Check the batteries every six months and, if the vehicle will remain unused for an extended period, remove the batteries temporarily.
SAFETY WARNINGS
Legal use: Use this device exclusively for the purposes permitted by law. Improper use may result in penalties.
Safety complement: Always use it together with the vehicle’s warning lights. If these are not working, switch on the low-beam headlights.
When exiting the vehicle: Always wear a reflective vest and exit on the safest side, away from traffic.
Visual caution: Do not look directly at the light beam while it is flashing, especially in low-light conditions or at night. Maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter to avoid glare or possible eye injury.
BATTERIES

Always use LR6 (AA) alkaline batteries. To install them, remove the cover by pressing the clip, insert the batteries respecting the polarity, and ensure the cover is securely closed. Check the condition of the batteries every 6 months or before long trips.
If the light dims or the batteries are close to expiring, replace them.
After extended use (30 minutes or more), wait 5 minutes before opening the cover, as the batteries may be hot.
Dispose of used batteries at an authorized recycling point.
MAINTENANCE
Keep the light-emitting surface of the KRV16IOT clean to ensure proper performance. Do not handle it with dirty hands or expose it to substances that could damage its structure. For cleaning, use water with mild soap and a cotton cloth.
Avoid abrasive products, alcohol, flammable liquids, or submerging the device, as it is not waterproof, although it withstands adverse weather conditions.
CONNECTIVITY
The device complies with the Traffic Law and RD 159/2021, and includes digital connectivity through the national Telefónica network, using NB-IoT technology (bands 20 and 8, with a maximum power of +25.7 dBm), providing efficient and secure coverage throughout the country.
Connectivity depends exclusively on the validity of the telecommunications service.
FEATURES
The KRV16IOT is a regulatory V16 emergency light with autonomous connectivity, certified by an accredited laboratory according to Regulation CE 765/2008.
It emits an intense yellow flash, visible from more than 1 km in all directions, with 360° horizontal and ±8° vertical coverage.
Its design is lightweight and intuitive, operated with a single button.
It does not adhere to non-metallic surfaces or areas with strong vibrations; it must be placed on stable, horizontal surfaces.
CERTIFIED DEVICE
The device is certified in Spain as a V16 emergency signal by IDIADA CERTIFICADA under the UNE EN-ISO 17025 standard, with certification number IDIADA PC23100037, in accordance with RD 1030/2022 and RD 159/2021.
